About SVITAP

We have been engaged in the production of tents and shelters for several decades. We focus on technical and custom textiles for both mobile and permanent roofing solutions. Our products are used in industry, logistics, agriculture, and the military. We also manufacture camp and glamping tents, as well as greenhouses and cold frames.

We place strong emphasis on functionality, quality workmanship, and long service life. We use a wide range of materials – from PE-coated fabrics and cotton blends to PES fabrics with PVC coating. We offer various sizes, shapes, and types, including the option of tailor-made solutions.

PET strapping tape is a heavy-duty polyester tape designed to be an extremely rigid and strong alternative to straps made from steel. As such, PET strapping tape is the successor to steel straps. PET strapping tape is the optimal choice for medium- and heavy-duty applications where objects need to be securely fastened, such as sheet metal, wooden beams, textiles, concrete products, cartons containing cans or bottles, printed matter, and tiles.

In our plant in Svitavy we produce textile laminates (two or three layers), which, owing to the unique technology used to apply the adhesive, boast some unique properties such as high-water resistance, excellent vapour permeability and 100% wind resistance. Textile laminates are used in a number of industries, such as in the production of sports and outdoor wear, work clothing and fashion, but also in various technical applications (e.g. in healthcare, automotive, etc.).

We are a traditional manufacturer of reinforced polyethylene foils, also known as laminated foils. These are flat textiles made from high-strength HDPE woven strips coated with LDPE. Additives, such as UV stabilizers, colour concentrates, flame retardants etc., are added as required with regard to the purpose of the foil.

The Technical Fabrics Department is part of SVITAP s.r.o., a Czech company with a long tradition in the textile industry, which ranks among the major suppliers of technical textiles in the Czech Republic. We supply protective fabric suitable for dog training products, so-called K9-RINGO, as well as tent fabric suitable for the production of tents, shelters, teepees and others.
