In-house testing laboratory directly at the production plant
The SVITAP production plant in Chropyně includes its own testing laboratory equipped with modern instruments and technologies. This allows us to continuously check materials, test their properties and verify whether they meet the required standards and specifications.
The testing laboratory is important not only for the inspection of finished products, but also for development and innovation. It allows us to better understand how a material behaves under load, during repeated use or when exposed to various conditions.
What is tested in coated fabrics?

Coated fabrics often need to meet several requirements at the same time. That is why a wide range of properties is monitored, as these can determine whether the material is suitable for a specific application.
The testing laboratory examines, for example, tensile strength, elongation, adhesion of the coating to the base fabric, resistance to repeated bending and abrasion resistance. Thickness, hardness, dimensional stability and water resistance are also important.
Each test has its purpose. It helps verify whether the material can handle the conditions for which it is intended and whether it will retain the required properties even during long-term use.
Testing as part of development
The testing laboratory is not only a control point at the end of production. It is also an important part of developing new materials and customised solutions.
When a customer is looking for a material for a specific application, it is necessary to verify which properties will be key for that use. In some cases, water resistance is decisive; in others, flexibility, strength, surface finish or stability at higher temperatures may be more important.
